Meredith Nicollai specializes in art-song and alternative concert performance, combining genres of classical voice, modern performance, cabaret and broadway to create a unique concert experience.  

The US-American Mezzo-soprano holds degrees in German Studies from the University of Southern California and Middlebury College where she graduated with honors. After attaining her masters with an emphasis in 20th century German music and theater history in Berlin, Nicoll then began her vocal training with Prof. Jeanette Favaro-Reuter in Leipzig where she later performed at the Leipzig Opera. She made several operatic appearances including as Nikolaus/Muse in Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann at Schloß Rheinsberg Opera Festival. In 2014 she made her Hamburg Laeiszhalle debut in the one-woman show Bachs Faust with the Hamburg Symphony. 

Meredith is currently studying with Prof. Yvi Jänicke at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and is the winner of the 2016 Elisa Meyer Vocal Competition. She has also recently won the 2016 Masefield Competition for Innovative Concerts for her concept “TRANSIT” and performs regularly with renowned ensembles for contemporary music such as SolistenEnsemble Phønix16 Berlin and Ambitus Extended in Vienna.
